The Xbox 360 controller is both DirectInput and XInput, it has two modes simultaniously, if a game does not support XInput it sees the DirectInput of the Xbox 360 controller, when the 360 controller is in DirectInput mode it switches the triggers to the single Z Axis, each trigger is half an axis and no game I know of with DirectInput will actually use it. Chaos Theory came out sometime in 2005 which was before XInput was released and UE2/2.5 never supported XInput, that Wikipedia entry lies. This is true, XInput came out sometime in 2006 as the new controller input standard starting with the Xbox 360 controller. (even though wikipedia claims differently) Unreal Engine 2 (afaik) was built before 2006, so obviously it does not support XInput. Автор сообщения: mirHLI think the problem is another. Then, have you ever tried what is written here ? Durazno and the thing? it's claimed to be the only program which can do this Then I would like to know if games are [limited on the number of usable axis, or if simply standard "digital" 0/1 actions (jump, shoot, crouch, cover) can't take an analogue value as inputĪs soon as I'll have the time to find the joystick, I could try pinnacle profiler to see if could even play with axis. are actually mapped/seen like a button or like a common axis ? The documentation is confusing maybeīut I don't really think a forced Xinput action could be read by a dinput game. At most we could use it to remap axis to something else. It was meant to use directinput pads with Xinput games, not viceversa.
#Sc joystick mapper 2.5 Patch
I am unaware of any patch which should fix this, still. That second link is for Blacklist, which uses Unreal Engine 3.5 which has native XInput support so that sadly doesn't apply here and I can hardly find anything on any UE2 games using X360CE.
#Sc joystick mapper 2.5 how to
Yeah, that guy never got KF to work with X360CE, it has something to do with the way Unreal Engine 2/2.5 handles DLL's and how to get them to hook.
#Sc joystick mapper 2.5 ps2
Nice, I used to own Chaos Theory in DVD form but during moving the box and discs were smashed so my father decided to throw it out not knowing the CD key was still good, luckily I still had it on GC and PS2 and later on Xbox then I rebought it on Steam. Unfortunately my DVD is lost somewhere in the house.īut I could try with killing floor right nowĮDIT: I found this and this this fot the moment
I was going to ask if you could try, to see if it was something on my end but it seems you don't own the game, pitty. If I remember correctly I had the same issue doing this with Killing Floor, same game engine version as well. Yep, first thing I did when it didn't work by default.
